Pediatric Sports & Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Physical therapy for individuals ages 4-21 years with sports and/or orthopedic conditions. We are passionate about keeping you in your sport and ensuring you feel confident as you return to your sport.


Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Physical therapy for women with pelvic floor conditions including pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and pregnancy/postpartum related complaints. We strive to assist you in returning to your active lifestyle free of pain, worry, or leaking.


Injury & Movement Screens

Consultative one-time physical therapy visit aimed to assess and provide further recommendations related to any pain, injuries, or concerns about how you are moving or participating in your sport or activity.

Kari is passionate about empowering both youth athletes and women going through pregnancy, labor, and delivery. She feels strongly that everyone has the potential to achieve their goals and return stronger than before. An athlete and mother herself, she has experienced the frustration of injury, pain, and not being able to take part in activities that you love.

Kari graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and then went on to complete an orthopedic physical therapy residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is Board-Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She has experience working as a physical therapist serving pediatric and adult patients with orthopedic, sports, and pelvic floor related conditions as well as pediatric patients with developmental and neurologic conditions. She also has experience coaching youth swimmers at the club level.

Kari has participated in research related to low back pain in adolescents and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has presented both locally and nationally on topics pertaining to the youth athlete, returning athletes to sport, and pelvic floor dysfunction. She is especially passionate about helping young athletes frustrated by injury successfully return to sport, providing support and guidance to women who want to regain control of their bodies after pregnancy and childbirth, and serving teens and young adults who are annoyed by leaking while participating in their daily lives and sports. She has special interests in urinary incontinence, pelvic pain during and after pregnancy, the return to sport process, rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction, and helping swimmers return to swimming and stay in the pool.
